    right, still alive, maxed on the snatch friday and hit a PB with 86kg, only one kilo but I haven't hit a best on the snatch in about 8 months,
    jerk is still in and around 100kg and back squat kicking around 125kg. Front squatted 105 last week too. Pleased that the squatting is still around the same as I cycled about 400km over the previous two weeks or so. Knee seems to be almost better but icing it. Shoulders are annoyed but I think they should be ok if I take care of some scapular stuff and avoid throwing snatches behind. Competition on saturday and I'm hoping to get closer to the 200kg total.

    Have you done any reading on adrenal fatigue, Chris? Granted it's a kind of catch-all term naturopathic witchdoctors apply to general malaise but apparently there is a link with chronically elevated cortisol and if you're getting towards the end of the Ph.D chances are that cortisol levels are high (*shudder* flashback!) even without doing metcon style stuff and pursuing PBs.

    Things are gettin a bit repetitive to log, still oly lifting about twice a week, had a bit of a setback on monday when I tweaked the knee a little receiving a snatch so I can't back squat again :( !

    maxin today...

    Clean and jerk: 95kg, cleaned 100 easy but wussed out of jerk

    front squat: 100(pb)-105(f)-105(pb)-108(f)

    little better here. I think the front squatting I've done over the last few months is helping with everything. Think I need to carry on doing more FS than BS for a while to address an imbalance.

    Snatch and C&J sessions followed the same format, 2x a week. Topped out on the snatch yesterday at 80, missed 84 numerous times. Managed to back squat without annoying the knee, up to 110 for an easy single. Max C&J tomorrow. I need to up the frequency from 2x to 3x a week now for the quick lifts as I think the knee can handle it. I'd like to get back to 4x a week after the next cycle.
