I am not a fan of UFC but this guy does some training. He circuit trains with a snorkel on! The video is quite long.

With thanks to another forum here is what the video is about:


-Hypoxia Training - Circuit training with a Snorkel to limit oxygen and make muscles work 2x harder - main purpose of hypoxia training is to Increasing Lactic Acids.

Wandy's Blood test after each workout.
a.Measures Lactic Acid Levels
b.Taken after every simulated Round
c.High Lactic Acid Levels increases his Tolerance for Hard,Intesnse workouts.

-Circuit Training -
a. 25 min. 4xPer Week
b.Wears Snorkel to Limit oxygen.
c. Wears a 45lb Vest.
d.wears a nasal cover to not allow Wandy to breath through nose.

-Alternate Circuit - Wandy will do this Circuit 3x
a.Clean N Jerk: 8x10lbs
b.Pulldowns 12x 198
c.Sprawl Drills 5x
d. Staris 3 flights

After his circuit training Wanderlei hops into a trashcan IceBath
a.2min. in bath
b.Effective way for muscle recovery
3.followed by hot shower.

Wandy also hits the Pool for some Cardiovascular training
a.3x Per week
b.45 minutes per session
c.Dives for 25lb Weights to enhance Cardio.

a.Does not Strickly measure his food intake.

3-4 times Per week for 1 hour Focusing on his technique and tactics.

3-4 times Per week for 1 hour 3 new positions or moves per session.

I think I will open a book on Chet trying the hypoxia circuit.

10/1 - Within 3 days
4/1 - Within a week
7/2 - Within 2 weeks
3/2 - 2 to 4 weeks
55/1 - never

with regards to that video - has anyone else heard about the curse. All the people that have featured in these have went on to get beat - Tito, Rich Franklyin, Sean Sherk.....
