Why is everyone so defensive of burpees? They are pure evil!

Monday: Squats
warm up with bar, 5x50kg, 5x55kg, 5x60kg
3 messy kipping pull ups

Today:
Warm up with skipping (trying to learn to do double unders)
Deadlifts 10x50, 5x60, 3x70, 3x80, 3x85, 3x90, failed 95 spectacularly. Damn thing was welded to the floor! Gravity was not proportional to the weight added.

Thanks, I've been eating all the rubbish and haven't really done much of anything since Christmas so I'm quite surprised at what I'm lifting.

Wednesday 18th March
Row 500m 2.28
squat 5x30kg 5x40kg 5x50kg 5x60kg 4x62.5kg (failed last one spectacularly)

Didn't feel as good as last week, I don't know what was different. Glutes just didn't seem to engage as much, there was a slight grinding in my right hip. Not as bad as it has been so maybe with a little more work, this will fix itself.

Squats again today
after warmup with the bar 5x30kg 5x40kg 5x50kg 5x60kg 5x60kg 4x60kg
Failed last one just as spectacularly as last time. I suppose my body knew I'd try to put it through another round if it finished the set, so it just stopped short!

Got 3 kippy pullups

Taking it easyish today, I'm still sore after squatting on Monday
Got 2 kippy pullups straight after warmup
easyish 800m run- 4.31

overhead press: 5x20kg, 5x22.5kg, 5x25kg, 3x27.5kg, 1x30kg
Push press3x30kg, failed the fourth so left it at that. Probably should have rested between last overhead press and first push press but I was getting bored!

Got another 2 kippy pullups
rowed 640m- 3.09
Tried more kippy pullups but failed and was tired so left it at that.

Spent Saturday at the Crossfit Games, European Qualifiers. Fun times! Got some helpful advice on my pullups and kips. I'm not as bad at pullups as I thought I was but I still have a lot of work to do! I've been inspired to stop my procrastinating and just get up off my arse!

Tuesday 7th April
Messed around with cleans
ran 1km ~5m30

Friday 10th April
Warmup row 1000m
Worked on squats. Managed 40kg handy enough but trouble with the airsquats.
Tried running ~2km home from train station but what happened was a hybrid of running, walking and loping. Must train more.

Today
Warmup row ~500m
Worked on squats; Will Walshe discovered my problem at long last: Inflexible ankles. I will now stretch the blazes out of them 100 times a day!
