I wouldn't train at all mate. When you're run down your system is on overdrive fighting whatever it is that making you ill. This puts your immune system under stress; if you exercise on top of this it can actually inhibit your recovery. Give yourself a break buddy and make sure you drink plenty of water and maybe dose up on Vitamin C (take 3 x 1,000mg at separate intervals during the day). You can get 1,000mg effervescent tablets from Tesco's for about a quid for twenty. The Vit. C will help with the excessive free radicals and muck in your system. Hope you get better soon matey.

Will,
i've had flu the past few days and been knocking back the tabs. I've still been training, which i know is a mistake but can't go a day without doing something.
My workouts have suffered and I havent gone all out like usual. But the text book answer is not to train as you will further lower your immune system and take longer to geet back to normal health.
But what do i know i'm just a thick squaddie

I would 3rd the take a break message - i found that I had a forced two weeks off recently and although when i came back I was weak i have bounced back to a better place than where I was previously. So, rather than trying to slog through illness. Just take a break.
