I'm just in the process of setting up a Crossfit facility in Plymouth. Can anyone provide information of a uk supplier of plyo boxes as seen in the US or similar. The ones i've seen so far seem real pricey! I'm also on the lookout for dynamax med balls, is there a uk supplier and does anyone know the price for a 10kg ball? I've seen that podium balls do a ball with large diameter of the required weight but these look like hard rubber balls. I've tried filling a b/ball with sand and that seems fine for personal use but I would want something more substantial for group use.
If anyone pulls out of the Crossfit Cert in Manchester can they let me know as it would save a trip to the US. Has anyone applied to host a course in 09?

Hi mate,
As far as I am aware, Andy from CF Reading is talking to Podium Balls ATM about a new 'textured' type ball... the post is here., if you haven't seen it already...

I'm importing Dynamax.
They're due to arrive on the 30th September. I'm bringing in all sizes. Let me know if you're interested.
Drop me an email and I'll send you a list of the kit I'm bringing in. My email is brian@strengthpowerspeed.co.uk.
There will be a reduction on retail for affiliates, and an opportunity to act as a reseller if you have clients who want thier own kit. Oh, and no need to hold stock either, so its a win win for you.
Re Plyo boxes, I think the best option is to build them yourself if you've got time.
I'm in the middle of constructing a couple and they don't seem difficult.
I started with 6x 4' 18mm hardwood ply boards, marked them out kinda on the lines of the plan on the Crossfit Journal a while back, then cut them out using a circular saw, glued and screwed them and I just need to put the top on, glue some rubber on the top and then plane down the bottom edges so they're flat on the ground. I'm a total biff at DIY, so anyone with aptitude could do a couple in a morning.
If there is enough interest in plyo boxes, I could get some manufactured. Let me know.
Cheers
Brian
