Basically I really wanted to do Krav Maga but there's no where near me that does it. But then stumbled across this gym ten minutes away from me. It just seems too good an opprotunity not to take up. But I'm not to knowledgeable with mma so just want peoples experiences etc.

I don't know much about Ross in particular but on TUF3 he didn't seem like the most experienced guy literally had no ground game compared to the other guys. However reading from the site this would appear contradictory and I can't remember any of his fights. However the gym looks well equipped, nowhere like that around where I live (dubious about all the machines though) so I would definatly pay it a visit.
You can probably get a few free trials before you make up your mind. Where abouts are you in the UK? I think Michael Bisping has a gym in Manchester somewhere.
As for MMA in itself you should watch some fights first and see if its your kind of thing. I think it is largely down to what your looking for. this gym will train you for it like a sport as thats what it is lots of sparring, conditioning, drills etc. Ie if your being mugged your not gonna go for an armbar on a guy your gonna do whatever you can to protect yourself which is more Krav Maga style.
If your looking for a hobby its great but I wouldn't recommend soley for a self defense purpose (not saying that it wont work its just all of it isn't as applicable as say Krav Maga)
