Hi Guys,

Glad I was informed of this forum! Be good to converse with some UK Crossfitters. I'm currently personal training and conducting bootcamps in Plymouth, and hope to introduce Crossfit to the area in the near future.

I'm personally into a varied range of fitness challenges the crazier the better! Tough guy etc. Currently doing a few of the Endurancelife off road Multi Sport Trailathlons which i'd recommend to anyone.

Welcome dude!
You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

Welcome.

Endurancelife looks cool - how do they work out generally and where do they locate them?

I did the winter races of 06 and 07. 06 was sub zero temperatures and made 07 feel tropical. Survived the 06 race! And came 150th in 07 about 10 mins behind the winner. Been focussing on more local events of late. Feels like its an event every time a do a WOD!

I think alot of the athletes that do them are people coming from the road running/cycling/triathlon world that fancy a new challenge and then get hooked. I personally don't train specifically for them as i've not got the time for alot of endurance work, so I do alot of met con WODs from crossfit and use the weekend for a longer aerobic workout. Which normally sees me through the shorter challenges - I get a bit delirious with anything over 3 and a half hours!

They are a Devon based company that do actually operate nationally with events as far afield (for them) as the Lakes and Snowdon. They're website is pretty cool www.endurancelife.com and should answer all your questions. Well worth trying!

Having a look now - looks right up my street. Am training for a duo event in Sept (Run and Bike) then normal Tri next year. Have done a couple of ace races which were cool and prefer the offroad variants.
