Here are the workouts and standards for this years CrossFit Games. This is taken from the pdf of rules and movement standards

http://games.crossfi...ormat_Final.pdf

The events on Saturday will be two barbell/bodyweight workouts and one hill run. There will be specific requirements for the movements that may be different than what you are accustomed to, so be sure to review the descriptions and videos carefully. It is acknowledged that these standards are somewhat arbitrary, but they are the requirements for this competition. We make no implication or warrant that the same requirements will apply to other or future competitions. For a theoretical defense of this approach, see the article “Capacity, Standards, and Sport” in the June, 2008 issue of the Crossfit Journal(http://www.crossfit.com/journal).

Please review the 2008 CrossFit Games Movement Standards video at:

There is an additional explanation video on the Games format and what participants are expected to do here

Unless you happen to have a 750m hill near you I think we will have to come up with a sub for this pat of the games

If you are taking part - Workout A & B should be completed (with video evidence ) sometime between now and Sunday

Sundays workout should be completed before Tuesday

This gives everyone a chance to fit these in. If you cant fit them in - no problem

So..who is taking part?

I'll play around with it in my usual not taking it seriously, doing the bits I want to way!

I did Fran yesterday, or was it the day before. That'll do. I'm going running today so I'll find a hill. I can do the DLs tomorrow. No vid cos I can't be arsed to learn how to use the camera.

I can't translate lbs to kg though - and I only work in kg. What's 65lbs and 185lbs when it's at home??? How many lbs in a kg? Damn imperial weights.

Thanks for posting those up Davie. Don't think I can fit them in in the time frame you mention (going away on Monday), but will certainly be having a go at the DL/burpees one at some point. Intrigued by what the other Sunday one will be... <_<

im guessing something to do with rowing due to C2 being a main sponsor

Why dont we just have it as a online competition till the end of the month?

Sounds like a plan to me. Are we only allowed one go each at each workout then?

If we make it one attempt then that will keep it more like the games - you get one chance to kill it!

I just did death by pull up and the chest to bar pull ups are fecking tough!

OK then - may well do the DL/burpees one on Saturday after some fun with muscle-ups. Reckon that's a decent upper body followed by lower body couple of sessions.

I've done all these 3 in the last few days - though my hill wasn't nearly as steep as the real one would be, so guess that doesn't really count.
Fran time was 6.30, but pullups were either band assisted or jumping, and thruster weight lower as that's all I've got at home. My pullups suck completely. I'm too bloody heavy, that's the problem!

DL/burpee time around 13 mins ish - only really glanced at watch, not timed properly. I don't care about time anyway. DLs were great, burpees were horrible! Had lots of rests after those.
I used 70kg for the DLs, but carried on after and did some single reps at higher weights - got up to 93kg, which I'm sort of quite pleased with (previous best was 80kg for 5),but I'll only really be pleased when i get to 100kg. Kind of lost my nerve though, as I was on my own and I'm always aware of guys watching me and being the only woman who DLs in our gym, so I don't want to fail when they're all watching me!
