The events on Saturday will be two barbell/bodyweight workouts and one hill run. There will be specific requirements for the movements that may be different than what you are accustomed to, so be sure to review the descriptions and videos carefully. It is acknowledged that these standards are somewhat arbitrary, but they are the requirements for this competition. We make no implication or warrant that the same requirements will apply to other or future competitions. For a theoretical defense of this approach, see the article “Capacity, Standards, and Sport” in the June, 2008 issue of the Crossfit Journal(http://www.crossfit.com/journal).

If you are taking part - Workout A & B should be completed (with video evidence ) sometime between now and Sunday
Sundays workout should be completed before Tuesday
This gives everyone a chance to fit these in. If you cant fit them in - no problem
So..who is taking part?

I did Fran yesterday, or was it the day before. That'll do. I'm going running today so I'll find a hill. I can do the DLs tomorrow. No vid cos I can't be arsed to learn how to use the camera.
I can't translate lbs to kg though - and I only work in kg. What's 65lbs and 185lbs when it's at home??? How many lbs in a kg? Damn imperial weights.

Fran time was 6.30, but pullups were either band assisted or jumping, and thruster weight lower as that's all I've got at home. My pullups suck completely. I'm too bloody heavy, that's the problem!
DL/burpee time around 13 mins ish - only really glanced at watch, not timed properly. I don't care about time anyway. DLs were great, burpees were horrible! Had lots of rests after those.
I used 70kg for the DLs, but carried on after and did some single reps at higher weights - got up to 93kg, which I'm sort of quite pleased with (previous best was 80kg for 5),but I'll only really be pleased when i get to 100kg. Kind of lost my nerve though, as I was on my own and I'm always aware of guys watching me and being the only woman who DLs in our gym, so I don't want to fail when they're all watching me!
