Want to get me some of these for my shed, since my gym got rid of their squat rack
I'm after stands rather than a rack since they'll be easier to stow when not in use. Anyone got any recommendations?
I've seen these. They look like the kind of thing I'm after in terms of height, footprint & weight capacity.
So anyone got an opinions/do's & dont's/recommendations/ones they would like to give me? :P
Cheers in advance. :D

Hello mate. As far as stands go i think these are fine. However, depending on what you want them for you may need to be careful. If it is just high rep lower weight squats you are going to be doing then yes these are fine but if you are going to be going for ME lifts and trying strength you will want some with spotters on them for when you need to bail. Having been in your shed you don't want to drop heavy weight on that bud. If your doing squats outside then they'll be fine.
I'm like a goddamn Navy Seal and Olympic gold medalist wrapped in a f***ing suit of body armour. I'm f***ing elite.

yeah, and you might want to think to the future - will you be squatting over 150kg in the next few years?

I've got those York stands and they're perfect. Great for bench pressing too as they go low enough. They do lack spotters which is a bit of a problem although if you're outside you can bail easy enough. Harder to do on the second floor of a house. ;)

I realise these are significantly more expensive than the Amazon ones, but they are very good. I thought it would be safer on max attempts if I had something to catch the bar in case I couldn't get up again as I always train on my own. Saved me on a few occasions..!

Thanks for the advice gents - just won this on Ebay. Looks a bit old-school, but should do the job. :D
