Morning,

New year and new start and all that so I've written off last year as training/diet/direction was rubbish and have used the new year to completely re focus :)

There will be a theme running through this log...oly lifting and mountain biking with other bits and pieces thrown in.

Yesterday,
Oly lifting
I lift every Monday and Wednesday at a very small local club that trains kids from 8-16 year olds, I train with the coach after the kids sessions;

Warm up - snatch high pull progressions
Full Snatch -6 sets @ 4 reps - 25,30,35,40,45,50,
Jerk From rack - 4 sets @ 4 reps - 45,50,55,60
Front Squat - 4 sets @ 4 reps - 50,60,70,80

We are in a technique stage at the moment which we will keep for the next few weeks.

Nice to see you back on here!
I swear I saw you in Sittingbourne at the weekend, but didn't recognise you immediately in civvies. ;)

Where's the "small local club" you're lifting at? I know we've been down this route before, but I'm sure we could organise something local...

Alright mate. I'm back living in Sittingbourne now and am really liking it.

You will laugh when I tell you where it is....kent avenue! All this time and there was a club under our noses!
Come along for a session and see how you like the set up. PM me if you like to get the fine details but its Monday and Wednesday 6:30-7:30ish and it will cost you the pricely sum of £1 a session for use of the gym....and coaching.

Wednesday
Oly Lifting
clean pulls warm up
C & J - 5sets x 4 reps - 40,45,50,55,60
Snatch Balance (from standing on toes start) - 5 x 4 - 25,30,35,40,45
Back Squat 5 x 4 - 60,70,80,85,90

Both sessions this week have been cut short due to my coach having being called out on work so no assisance work :(

Overall good session and good to train with moose after saying we should for the past 2 years

Back squats are my weakness but felt really comfortable last night and am finally back squatting more than my front squat :blink:
