Can anybody suggest where I can pick up a good bumper olympic weights set? See my log if you are wondering why I am now posting about where I can get equipment after posting that I couldn't.

They are not bumpers, they are metal plates covered in rubber. If you drop them on the floor - the floor will break. If you want real bumpers that are solid rubber, you need to get the ones from Andy at CF Readding

oh ok thansk for poitning that out. Are there no cheaper? I added up what I would need and it came to like £500 thats like a month half wage for me lol.

I know the feeling. I want some too but can't afford it atm. I was planning to get cheapy little weights and 20s, and get proper bumpers in the 5s and 10s. Guess you'd need 20s too though.

Nicky is bang on - get 10's or 20's bumpers and get some cheap metal ones form eBay

thats good idea 20s and 10s and can get the rest cheap off ebay. And slowly upgrade like 2 every month or so. Still gonna be like 400 odd though
