Greetings, Following my recent "troubles", I am now back in the game and full steam ahead with GBKA.

I will be running a Kettlebell Tournament in August near Burton Upon Trent in the Midlands. There will be barbecues, bars and entertainment provided throughout the weekend. The competition will be held on the saturday and there will be an Instructor re-familiarisation certification for those who want to become registered GBKA Instructors on the Sunday- obviously previous experience preferable for a condensed cert.

Events will include:
Snatch Tests
Swing Test
Jerk Tests
100 Rep Challenge
Farmers Walks
Crucifix
Throwing event
Endurance Challenge.

This event will be sponsored by a hardware supplier and also a top nutrition company so there should be prizes galore.

Hotel Accomodation is available 2 miles from the venue at Holiday Inn Express, Burton Upon Trent.

Entrance Categories will be: Mens Heavy (24kg) Mens Standard (16kg) Womens Open (12kg) Overall Team and Juniors (tba)

I tried emailing but no reply. If anyone has any idea on what date the comp is, what the rules would be, or another contact, it'd be helpful!

Nothing, tried mailing Ben a couple of weeks ago but he seems to have fallen off the grid again. If I hear anything I'll let you know.

Maybe. Chet may be a little busy with the UK:SPS but it's something to consider.
