Well, if you want to come down to Newquay we can offer:
climbing (indoors and outdoors)
surfing
coasteering
kayaking
hiking
bbq on the beach
night life
general training, gym etc

We can do the surfing and climbing (i.e bouldering) on the cheap; for a proper coasteer you need to go out with a legit group.

What sort of accommodation are people after? Tents? Something more substantial?

Now that's exactly what I'm talking about :D

Hmm....never even considered camping for some reason. Could be very cool - though if families etc are coming I'm thinking something more substantial would in order?

Well, no harm in having a 'party caravan' so that those who want to can have a riotous time! Others can opt for hotel/B&B.

I'd just like to announce that I don't guarantee not to snarl at / slap / shoot any kids who may come along. I was kidding when I said I'd bring mine.

Any cheeky 18 year olds are also in danger of a slapping if they misbehave :P

I could camp if I really have to, and provided I get a tent to myself! I think I still have one somewhere... otherwise, i don't mind B&Bs etc.

I'll go along with the majority in terms of what we actually do. Except for climbing, which I can always watch.

I just like the idea of getting away, chilling out and doing a bit of training.

Static caravans are pretty damn cheap.... you can get one for 6 persons in Newquay for like... £300 for the week can't you?

I hope cheeky 21 year-olds aren't in slap-danger.

I'd prefer not to camp, in all honesty.

Nothing beats waking up in a bed. I think beds to. Is anyone going to reading music festival? I just remembered I am but can't remember the date?

Might be a bit more in August but yes, that kind of ballpark. It's not always possible to get a caravan for a weekend - it depends how full the park is. Of course, there's no reason why some people couldn't stay for a week if they wanted. There's so much to do and the weather is usually great in early September.

Newquay is bloody gorgeous today! I've just been down to the beach, lazying on the sand for a bit watching my mate teach a bunch of rookie lifeguards, then arranging a climbing trip. I just love my life right now!!

Yes, we probably ought to look into accommodation if we are thinking of going for 29 Aug - 1 Sept. I can see if any of the holiday parks will do a caravan for a long weekend.

Should we have an 'official' sign up list? I can start one if you like. Please add/subtract your name from the list below. Might also be useful if you could add your acommodation preferences (if you have any):

Chet
Gubernatrix - no pref, camping/caravan/beach all fine
Nickyhusky
Paul
Will
Pete
Brew
MarkCFD??
MattM??

Nice one Gubes - thanks :D

I've added the list to the original post to make it easier to see what's what at a glance, as and when peeps confirm/state preferences.

Just so happens the original post is by you so we can both edit the list, hehe B)
