Oh yeah, Come chet set up a thread :D
"The idiots are self regarding consumer slaves oblivious to the paradox of their uniform individuality. They sculpt their hair to casual perfection, they wear their waistbands below their balls. They babble into hand-held twit machines about that cool e-mail of the woman being bummed by a wolf. Their cool friend made it. He's an idiot too. Welcome to the age of stupidity, hail the rise of the idiots!"

Charlie Brooker & Chris Morris.

"Don't get hung up on the stopwatch or times, or even weight lifted, think about technique, technique, technique and listening to your body. You will not perform better every session and that is set in stone. Test your self every month keep a written journal not just a forum, a place where you can keep personal notes that you can read to motivate yourself. Don't compare yourself to others when you are working out and likewise do not think that you are already fit as fcuk!!! As someone will always be in front and behind you, ultimate confidence in your abilities yes, but arrogance no, there is a fine line.
But most of all do the things you hate above the things you like or are good at, this will make you a better athlete. Save the things you like for recreational sessions. But ultimately enjoy it, even when you hate it! And finally remember the mind will always give in before the body!"

Here endeth the lesson.

Been thinking about something like this for a while. I'm well up for an FK.UK summer camp and it looks like I'm not the only one...so let's have a brainstorm B)

September would be a good time as it is cheaper, the hordes have gone and the weather's still lovely.

Newquay's a long way but it's worth it!

Alternatively, someone else could host one. After all, I don't have a fully-equipped Crossfit gym down here. Got beaches though B)

Newquay, Newquay, Newquay!

I love Cornwall.

Not so sure about September... I'll definitely be busy for one week of that, but can be more specific in a little while.

Newquay sounds great. September fine if we're talking a weekend, which I assume we are? If it's not a weekend I can't go anyway - can't leave the dependents on their own!

I'm in. September sounds great. As it happens I'm in Newquay for a few days early august for a stag do. Would be happy to train with you one of those days, Gubermatrix, if that's cool with you

First week would be good, and why do you need a full equipped CF gym when you have fistral beach, oh yeah silly shorts for training only  (BORAT swimwear optional)

Remember the CF cert is on as well in sept, its the 3rd wk'nd.

Wicked.

Well, it sounds like Newquay is a plan.

I agree - who needs a gym when there is so much cool outdoor stuff to do? B)

OK on the basis we are doing a weekend (perhaps a long weekend?), we have either the weekend of 30th/31th August, or 6th/7th September (the weekend before the Cert :o)??

And definitely silly shorts only ;)

I bought a mankini for one of my mates for Christmas: I'm sure he wouldn't mind lending to any of you who were interested?

Both of the two dates you've suggested sound good Chet.

Definitely worth making it a long weekend.... Use the friday and monday for travelling.

I'm sure that would be okay, but dogs are not allowed on most beaches during the season so you would have to find a way round that.
