only managed 8 rds exactly.

can tell cardio and endurance needs improving !!!!!!

My 16 year old son has started doing crossfit with me now as he wants to join the Army after his A levels. Down scaled it for him with a 20kg bar no weight and he managed 14 rds.

Nice one buddy - good to have you back and training again.

I tell you what, the kids training now are going to put us old guys to shame! My son (12) got up this morning and somehow we started talking about pull-ups and he said he could do 20 (most I saw him do was 10) so I said "prove it". He jumped on the bar and knocked out 20 DH pull-ups in a row. Last night doing the mobility WOD he was in all the correct positions right off the bat, with none of the agony I was seeing! Oh to be young again.
