Following the very enjoyable day we had back in March at the Take Shape Assault Course, it is back by popular demand!

Get this date in your family diaries: Sunday, August 15th 2010.

From sub-5 to over 50 (years of age or time round the obstacles!), the day is suitable for everyone. The assault course is ideal ? it uses many of nature?s obstacles including trees, logs and streams. Throw in some other objects to climb up, jump over, duck under, balance on, and so on, and you have a great playground! As with all these things, the course is as hard as you make it – and we will be bringing weighted vests and the like for those that want an additional challenge.

Speaking of additional challenges – check out this video of Stephen Hollingdale of FK.Associate SPQR Fitness, as he makes his way around the course with a camera in one hand! (And yes, that’s him wearing a weighted vest in the photo above too…)

You can chill, chat and eat with friends over the BBQ, and monkey about on the obstacles as much as you like. Perhaps best to play on the assault course before your food…
