Our main priorities for the CrossFit Reading Strength and Power Meet (in Association with FK.UK) are to ensure that the event is a safe, fun and challenging day for all. Well… challenging for the competitors. Hopefully just safe and fun for the rest of us! So we are inviting you to be a part of this and help to make it happen.

The overall team of event officials will comprise of 3 different teams:

Judges
Scorers
Loaders

Each team will be briefed at the beginning of the day, and will perform that distinct and important role for the rest of the day.


What’s in it for the officials?
Firstly – free entry to the event. It promises to be a great day out. All you need to do is ask anyone that was at last year’s event, in any capacity…the atmosphere during the day was electric! No doubt the the events themselves will be a great spectacle too – lots of ‘encouragement’ (shouting) required! Aside from the events themselves, there will be lots going on, with Parkour Demonstrations being just one of the attractions that we have announced so far.

Secondly – all officials will be offered a pre-registration period for next year’s event. Men’s competitor places were full within 3.5 hours of registration opening this year. So this will be very useful for those that would like to compete next year. Even if you’re not interested now…you may well be after seeing how much fun it is on the day!

Lastly – pride in yourselves that we will all be coming together in the way the we do best, to make this a top day for everyone – including the officials. Let’s make it happen!
