Hello from Nottingham

I am based in Nottingham and try to follow the Crossfit main site WOD's as I best I can, but training in a David Lloyd gym can be somewhat limiting - for some reason they don't like their weights being dropped!
I am aiming to move house this year and incorporate a garage gym, although is still to be negotiated yet with the wife! Through FK.UK I came across Beaverfit and sit and drool over all the kit on a weekly basis!
I am interested in learning more on Olympic lifting and gymnastics (my flexibility is shocking), so I keep an eye out for courses being run.
Well that’s all about me for now.
All the best,
Bob

Good luck with the garage gym. You can also try Absolute Performance for equipment. Talk to Tony and see about a discount for FK.UK members (or get an even bigger discount by joining the FK.Weightlifting club).

Here's the AP offer for all registered FK.UK members.
To find out about the bigger and better discount, you'll have to join FK.WL
Naw just messing - there will be an announcement soon, but in the meantime if anyone is interested, drop me a line and I'll fill you in.

I have managed to set up a small gym under my carport at home and have the basics (spent some cash with Beaverfit!) so I have left David Llyod's and train at home (Ruddington - South Nott's) mainly following Crossfit main site and more recently following Thames Crossfit schedule.
Eddie good to hear that you are considering setting up a box this summer in Nottingham. I spotted this http://board.crossfi...ead.php?t=61453 and wondered if you are the same team or another interested party - either way let me know. I am more than happy to get involved setting up / train etc.
I am also heading up to the European Regional's next month on the Sat (to spectate not compete!) if either of you wanted a meet up.
Cheers,
Bob

Thats me on the crossfit forum. Hoping to set up with my brother this summer....an MSc at Loughborough University is the only thing thats holding me back right now. I would love to go up to regionals but I have exams are that time. Look out for a team from my home box....Crossfit Clitheroe.

Nottingham is crying out for a box, and with such a big student population and MMA scene I am sure it would be a success. I would love to have set one up myself but TBH I am slave to the corporate world and with fast approaching middle age my performances are not anyway near good enough to train others (with credibility!). Anyway I can get involved in helping set up a box – I more than happy to help.
Good luck with the MSc. When you get your head out of the books, look me up (bob.pigottatntlworld.com).

I am certified level one crossfit instructor and have been looking into opening a box in Nottingham and would love to chat, I have a new job at the moment so not sure if I would be ready to open one myself but might be interested in coaching, or just training. If you want to get in touch then my e mail is martinfoster82@gmail.com. Would be great to hear from you
