19 June 2010 to 20 June 2010

This year Whey Consortium is running three strongman/woman contests.

The weekend of the 19th and 20th of June is where entrants battle it out over five events to see who will be crowned Severn Valley champion 2010 and Britain’s Strongest Woman.

Venue: Whitminster playing fields, near Gloucester
Start time: 11am


Saturday 19th June – First timers
This event is aimed at strongmen just starting out, men that are hungry to get their feet wet and taste the bitter sweet sensation of competition. If you feel the events look light to you, then they are – there is a different competition for you on the 20th.

Events:
Frame walk 25m 200kg
Loading race with nasty blue water barrels. Weight ranging from 75-100kg
Conans wheel 220kg
Round robin max log starting weight 80kg
Walk of pain (milk churn carry) 80kg


Saturday 19th June – Britain’s Strongest Woman
Events:
Frame walk 140kg
Loading race weight ranging from 40kg-75kg
Conans wheel weight TBC
Axle round robin starting weight 40kg
Walk of pain (milk churn carry) 60kg


Sunday 20th June – Severn Valley Novice
Now in it's 5th year and fast becoming the one to win.

Events:
Frame walk 25m 250kg
Loading race with nasty blue water barrels. Weight ranging from 75-100kg
Conans wheel 280kg
Round robin max log starting weight 100kg
Walk of pain (milk churn carry) 100kg

There is a £15 entry fee for the first timers and the novice strongmen competitions and a £5 entry fee for Britain strongest woman. All information as to where to send money and return entry forms will be sent via e-mail.
