I see what you mean, it's all very shiny and regimented, but to be honest I'd rather train in a place like Bethnal Green club which has more character and isn't quite so everything-in-neat-rows. We've got great kit - all Eleiko and everything - just not quite as much of it. But there's loads of atmosphere and every bit of equipment really gets used properly!

Wow!
I'd be scared to touch anything in that place. Too perfect!

Bah, the one at Aberdeen University on the slide show looks lovely. And to think I had a job interview there not so long ago! Would have been cool to work at that Uni and be able to train there.

That place looks amazing!
And I'll be checking out the uni gym next time I'm up.

It does look a bit clinical...but then I guess that's what a lot of gym members are used to.

Nope. At Bethnal Green we've got everything you need for both weightlifting and powerlifting. In fact, we've got more because we've got chains and bands as well. And we've got inversion boots!

Plus we've got posters and photos all round the walls of the people who have lifted there since the 1920s, including loads of '70s Big' pics. Proper inspiring atmosphere ;-)

The cafe has a picture of Chigishev above the coffee machine. And there's a signed (signed!) photo by the ladies changing room door of Ed Coan squatting 417kg. I mean, how can you not be inspired by that?!

You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

Tbh I think I would prefer to train at a small hardcore gym were you know everybody and can ask spot whenever you want, as everybody there is like a friend. I guess this is one reason why crossfit gyms are successful, as atmosphere can make a huge difference.
