Just read today in Workout magazine that World gym are looking to spread across the UK. Good thing or bad do you think?

All the World Gyms I visited on business were nothing more than upscale spas anyway. Sure they have more free weight and iron than your "regular" globo in the UK, but the staff were still under-educated on fitness related topics (and in general actually) minimum wage monkeys. Many of the clientele were obviously "less than naturally" built but then that is more prevalent in the US than here anyway in my experience.


At the end of the day, just another chain gym, just this time with the benefit of a "name". Doubt it will affect me in any way, I will be ignoring this one much as I already do the Esportas, David Lloyds and other chains....

I would imagine they'll take over previous gym sites so it probably won't make much of a difference in the market - same crap different name on the front.
