Not strictly Paleo, in the fact that chickpeas = legumes...

its not paleo but it is one of the proteins Robb Wolf recommends for those vegemetarian types, split pea is better apparently but i have no idea where to get that from in the UK.

Along with lentils, I think chickpeas can be soaked, sprouted, and eaten raw.
Never tried chickpeas - regularly sprout lentils as it's easy and the sprouty bits are very similar to rice noodles once they've been stir-fried.
Don't need much cooking, probably better eaten raw but I need a decent recipe.
5 minutes with garlic, ginger, red onion, some coconut oil in a wok and they're done and delish
