FK.UK teamed up with CrossFit London last Sunday to present the Deadlift Workshop.

The first workshop of its kind, Chet led the group through the 3 hour session, with FK.Associate Gubernatrix providing outstanding coaching and demonstrations throughout. CrossFit London coaches Andrew Stemler and Sally Dixey expertly guided participants through the skill practices.

A relaxed and fun afternoon was split between group demos and breakout drills. Participants asked insightful questions during the group demos and worked hard during the drills.

Each and every participant made significant improvements as the session progressed, from tweaks on set-up through to learning the sumo from scratch!

Though what is better technique without the chance to use it? The gains made during the session translated into kilos straight away during the “free-lifting” session at the end.

Some tested their new found sumo-deadlift skills. Others maxed out their conventional deadlifts. The atmosphere was electric, and many people hit massive new PBs on the day.

The day was rounded off by everyone receiving a bag full of samples from event sponsors, Boditronics

A fantastic time was had by coaches and participants alike, with interest already running high for the next one on Sunday May 2nd.
