Howdy all, I'm another member from the Warrior Training forums, having found that through Ross Training, and looking to add some more skills to my trainng. I've mostly been into bodyweight stuff, running, swimming and sandbags, but now looking to get strength on my side. I did the iCourse last year, but haven't really added barbells or kettlebells to my training yet. I'm currently favouring running at the moment to get me through Tough Guy next week, but will be leaving my Globo Gym soon to join a strength gym near work, so I'm hoping to use the daily workouts from here to start me on my way. I do have a couple of set goals, but my main goal in a training sense is overall functional fitness.

Hi Lewis,

And welcome!
Where abouts in Kent are you? And what's the strength gym you'll be training at?
I live near Sittingbourne - if you're anywhere in the neighbourhood we could maybe get together every now and again.
I'm always looking for a chance to get a bit of extra work done - god knows, I need it! :D
Drop me a line if you're nearby,
Moose

Moose - I live in Sevenoaks but work in Biggin Hill. The gym I'm joining isn't specifically a strength gym, but it's mostly squat cages, bench work and more barbell weights than I've got hairs on my head...

Sounds like a plan!!
I think we've been at this 'suggest a meet-up' point before
In the words of a grossly oversized multinational - we should 'just do it!'
And we should 'just do it' before my temporary body repairs wear off or I get too old (16 days and counting)... :D

So, where and when?

Sounds good. There's often meets with the guys from WT (a couple of us jumped in the English Channel the other week), so if you wana arrange something, as long as I'm not working or away I'll be able to make it.

Hey Lewis....

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.
