Hey guys,
I am currently trying to put together a justgiving web page for a fund raiser for the Haiti disaster appeal. I understand most of you may have already given some cash to this cause already but please hear me out.
Looking at a date of 6th Feb. Our affiliate will be doing a wod to try and raise money. Bones of it will be each participant pay £5/£10 or whatever they want to to do the wod. They can also raise sponsorship from friends/family/work colleagues for them to do the wod. Anyone that wants to sponsor can then just donate to the justgiving web page i set up.
Going to send this to the other affiliates and will update you more when i have finalised details of times etc. Doesn't need to be massive wod or big group just get a wod done on Sat 6th Feb and get sponsorship from people to do it. If we get lots of people doing a wod and paying £5 each then that amounts up.
Cheers for listening

Sounds good. I'm sure I can get the guys at SQPR to cough up for a workout.

Website Post:
CrossFit Reading, an FK.Associate, has put together a simple appeal for a worthy cause. On 6th February, give your workout a new meaning and purpose by raising money for the people of Haiti.
It is easy to get involved:
Gym owners – run a workout on Saturday 6th February and ask athletes for donations of £5 or more. There is no set workout – the focus is on getting involved and getting it done.
Athletes - Head to your nearest participating gym on February 6th, make a donation, and do the scheduled workout! Or just do a workout yourself on the day. Either way, you can also raise sponsorship from friend/family/colleagues to do the workout.
Or simply donate what you can via the JustGiving web page that Andy Craig, owner of CrossFit Reading, has set up:
www.justgiving.com/CrossfitUKHelp4Haiti
Every participant and donation will make a real difference to people that really need it.

Yeah, i played around with longer ones and shorter heavier ones but i thought this was managable for most people. Idead is that peeps can get through each exercise in 1-3 sets enabling them to continue through without absolute failure. We will have to wait and see. Not looking forward to the run!
