Folks,

As you may have already seen - the new FK.UK Functional fitness portal is here!

This is your website - so get involved! FK.UK is forged from the UK community, and is for the UK community. The FK.UK portal is an extension of this. www.FuncKey.co.uk will now go straight to the website home page. We hope you find it to be a good home :)

There are plenty of ways to get stuck in to start with, and plenty of benefits for you in doing so.

Stay informed by subscribing to the RSS feed.
This will keep you informed as soon as new articles, news and events go up on the website. There will be a little more than usual over the next few days while we sort all the content, but this will level out shortly.

Represent the movement by visiting the store.
This is launching soon with some funky new kit! New beanies and hoodies to start with, plenty more stuff in the pipeline...

Help actively advance the movement by becoming a member of FK.Weightlifting (FK.WL).
This is an unprecedented collaboration between BWLA and FK.UK, with benefits too great to detail (but we've done our best...here!)

Add thoughts, comments and suggestions to the threads on the website forum for articles, news items, and events.
Read something you feel strongly about? Say it! Would like to find out more about something? Let us know!

Of course there's lots of other ways to make this work for you - for example, checking out the FK.Calendar for courses to learn and competitions to put it into action. These are just a few tips for now. There will be more as time goes on!

We have great opportunities to interact with each other and forge strong links between and within communities here. Lets make the most of them.

And talking of making the most things...

To say this all would not have been possible without Gubernatrix would be both an understatement and a disservice to her.

She has been, and continues to be, the driving force behind this project. Right from asking the important questions in order to work out what we wanted from this website (and providing clarity on the answers), through the nitty gritty of setting the thing up, right down to the editing and finer points of communication - a truly comprehensive and complex role that she has taken on completely and wholeheartedly.

Please join me in passing massive thanks to Gubernatrix for getting us here and taking us forward.

Cheers.

Enjoy!

Well done guys and gal
it looks positively ace!

You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

Love it! Great job so far and I'm sure it is only going to get even better.

Glad I didn't finalise my other BWLA membership application by actually making the payment. Just saved myself £15!

I'm glad you guys like the site. We're really excited about the future - there are going to be more events, more workshops, more of everything functional fitness!

Regarding the website, we welcome suggestions and feedback of course. We will be spending the next couple of weeks refining and adding things so you'll see a few more changes before it settles down.

Looks great.

Got a bit confused when it all changed as I'd only found the site two days before. I thought it might be some kind of initiation test.

I also like the way the box at the bottom of my screen says 'FK.UK|unlocking fun...'. Don't know if it was intentional but I like it.
