Can we have some suggestions for a tribute workout for a very good friend of ours who was tragically killed yesterday at just 16 y/o. We have the details on our website. www.crossfittyneside.blogspot.com
What I want to do is arrange a tribute workout up here and if it could be replicated at all of your gyms or even alone in your sheds and garages on a set day at a set time we could put something together- maybe a photo of everyone who has the workout with the board and Jake's name on it at each location. I will then compile them print bind and present to his elder brother who is only 21 himself along with any money we raise locally up here.
I have known the family a long time and Jake was also a good friend to CF Tyneside. Any ideas thoughts for a good workout would be appreciated.
Best Wishes

What did he like to do (or more likely NOT like to do)? The workout should incorporate elements that allude directly to Jake, not something totally random that we can come up with.
Either way, I'll have the guys at SPQR run through it and will get pictues/tape of it for you.

Are those weights in pounds????
Charlie Brooker & Chris Morris.
"Don't get hung up on the stopwatch or times, or even weight lifted, think about technique, technique, technique and listening to your body. You will not perform better every session and that is set in stone. Test your self every month keep a written journal not just a forum, a place where you can keep personal notes that you can read to motivate yourself. Don't compare yourself to others when you are working out and likewise do not think that you are already fit as fcuk!!! As someone will always be in front and behind you, ultimate confidence in your abilities yes, but arrogance no, there is a fine line.
But most of all do the things you hate above the things you like or are good at, this will make you a better athlete. Save the things you like for recreational sessions. But ultimately enjoy it, even when you hate it! And finally remember the mind will always give in before the body!"
Here endeth the lesson.
