Im just getting back into this paleo lark...figure that some of you may be in the same postion and wondering what a paleo shopping basket for the week might actually look like. I went shopping today and this is what i got for the week.

36 eggs
2 packets of kippers ( 2 fillets per pack)
5 tins tuna
3 big huge packets of salmon that was on sale ( split into bags of between 4 & 5 blocks - got enough for 9 meals)

2 bags of apples ( about 5 or 6 in each )
2 bags of tangerines
bag of spinach
2 big heads of broccoli
bag of red onions
bag of bananas
bag of raisens

3 packets of creamed coconut ( in the packet have 3 sachets - each is about 20 blocks of fat , dirt cheap )
couple of bags of cashews
Olive oil
3 avocados

Of course you can add in other veg, meat, fish etc....but this is what i got. Its hopefully enough to keep me going till the weekend.
You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

I like this idea. I have a massive chest freezer in the garage so buy in bulk other than getting veggies evry other day

Pete's paleo + dairy shop.

36 eggs
couple kilos mince beef
kilo bag of grated mozzerella
12 tins wild salmon
several packs of creamed coconut
Bag desicated coconut
lard, butter and ghee for frying. I like to vary my saturated fats
frozen cauliflower
frozen broccolli
savoy & red cabbage
carrots
onions
avocados
milk and bananas for post training

Will also buy whatever's on offer. for exaple not so long ago free range chicken were BOGOF at costco. So I bought 12.

Aye, good thread :)

OK, here is what finds its way into my shopping basket for a typical shop

Eggs - 45 or so
Chicken/turkey - couple of packs
Smoked salmon - couple of packs
Bacon - lots
97% meat gluten free sausages - a pack or two

Spinach - few bags
Broccoli - a few
Onions - 2-3
Spring Onions - bunch of
Mushrooms - wee bag full
Sweet potatoes - kilo
Berries - a wee pack

Coconut milk/cream/creamed coconut - a lot
Nuts, predominately almonds in various forms, + others for variety - a lot

Green and Blacks 85% dark choc - couple of bars, wee treat

If paleo + diary will add:

Milk - 6 pints
Cheese - couple of different ones

Whole bunch of other stuff goes in semi-regularly e.g. avocados, EVOO, other fats
Also will pick up stuff when on offer.
On that note got a s*** load of tuna at home which I bought when on offer so that tops up the protein supplies too.

No doubt I've forgotten a few things but that's about it.

smoked salmon + scrambled eggs is a great breakfast :D

add the chop the salmon and add halfway through

i usually just buy lots of eggs, chicken, lean mince, beef, lamb, fish, sweet potatoes, fruit + veg, mixed nuts, milk, etc.

I avoid the pasta/rice/biscuit/cake/bakery/patisserie/pizza/ready meal aisles :S

make shopping a bit quicker...

Isn't it funny how "small" a supermarket becomes when you skip past the crap? Isle after isle of "buy one get one free" on utter junk.
