Can anyone recommend a particular doorway pull-up bar?

Also, if your house is a wood-framed Barrett homes P.O.S like ours, how do the door frames/studwork hold up to being used for this purpose?

I have one of these, but not in a doorway, its between two walls....think you have seen it Chronyx?

Does it have to be doorway? If you have somewhere to hang stuff outside, you could go for a trapeze bar like Franz and I have...?

Sorry Chet only just seen this!

I have an old barbell hanging from straps in the garage at the moment - the new one would be so I can do a few pull-ups easily whenever I fancy!

Argos don't have anything similar to what's described above anymore

Hi

http://www.amazon.co...x_ya_oh_product

I got this to give to my bro as a chrimbo present. I assumed it was the type that had the rubber washers at the ends so you didn't need to screw it in but i was wrong. By bro rents so he can't screw stuff into the door frame.

I can sell if to you if you like at a knock down price. It's just gathering dust at the moment.

Hope i'm not breaking any kind of board rules by offering to sell it - Sorry if i am.

Amazon have loads of stuff though.. if this isn't what your after then take a look on there.

Hope that helps.

I have that very bar. Its the Iron Gym they sell in Asda (where I got mine for £19 I think) and boots. Works a treat thus far - done some weighted pull ups and hang my rings from it to do ring dips. Holding up well.

However, like with all these pull ups bars (I used to have a powerbar), they don't fit all door frames. If you live in a flat like I do, each bar has only fit one door (kitchen door!).
