Yep, great way to go. In a country rife with obesity and a distinct lack of knowledge about nutrition our experts now tell people that it is ok to add another 20-25% more calories to their daily diet. Wait for the increased tax bills in the coming years to pay for even more obese people to be treated in our hospitals.
Gets on my tits!

Just heard the headline and to be honest saw it as an encouraging sign that the powers that be might be realising that calories are not the main culprit in our obesity problem.
"Pain is weakness leaving the body"
"If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready"
"The mind always gives out before the body. You’ll pass out before you die."
"We'll be as we are when all the fools around us fade away"
"Successful men and women are very careful in reaching decisions and very persistent and determined in action thereafter."

I think they suggested that people could consume up to 16% more calories a day - which for a man equates to 400 calories, or a "cheeseburger".
Of course, this isn't bad advice providing people are actually eating the right foods. Many people don't eat sufficient calories considering their activity level, and most "normal" people could certainly do with eating proper protein sources or quality fats. The problem is that the powers that be still advocate eating the wrong foods, and by saying that people can eat more calories just gives them the green-light to eat another bowl or two of corn flakes, more pasta, or extra slices of bread...

exactly rich, calories aren't the problem, people are the problem and there lack of knowledge or will to even want to learn what foods to eat. Pie eating boy will only see mmmm more calories and hoff another cheese and bacon melt.
I'm like a goddamn Navy Seal and Olympic gold medalist wrapped in a f***ing suit of body armour. I'm f***ing elite.
