So this morning I received my first "official" unsolicited post for SPQR Fitness. Gave me quite a giddy moment actually to see the addressee as "SPQR Fitness "The Garage Gym" etc" ;)

Anyway, the mail was from a company in Herts called Absolute Performance, selling power racks, training plates/bars and the like and they are looking to cater for CrossFit style facilities. I had a look and there are no prices listed but they stuff they have seems to be pretty good so I figured I would share the details in case anyone else is interested.

I am in no way associated with the site and only just heard of them so I can't give you any more information than that.

The site again is http://www.aperformance.co.uk

some of the bumpers, bumper racks and oly bar look alot like jordans. like the look of some of those power racks though.

Hi There,
I appreciate your comments, so I thought that I would give you a very brief introduction to Absolute Performance. As the website shows we are a company specialising in the supply of strength and conditioning equipment to high performance centres, CrossFit sites, fuctional training areas etc etc. We are always adding to the range that we supply and we are happy to source specfic equipment that customers are struggling to find. I appreciate that our prices are not listed on the website but I would be happy to supply prices on request, i think that you might find them more competitive than you might first think. To this end we are offering an initial 10% discount on all products purchased by registered users of the FUNCKEY site.
If you have any queries dont hesitate to drop me an email at tony@aperformance.co.uk
Cheers
Tony B

Just wanted to say that we recently used Absolute Fitness for a big order and they were really good to deal with and very enthusiastic about working with the FF community. We will definitely be using them again the next time we need equipment, and I'd highly recommend giving them a shout whenever you're going to get some kit: they may well be able to beat the price you've found and they have equipment that isn't up on the website.

Great company, two thumbs up :D

Barbell and ~100kg of plates (not bumpers), squat/press rack, heavy duty matting and an adjustable bench. The whole lot came in under £600, which impressed me no end.
