Given my kettlebell shenanigans this week, I fancy giving this a shot with the ol' KBs instead of DBs.

Anyone done it with KBs??

8:45 with the 24kg kb - will try it soon with my enhanced kb skills soon

Just had another crack at this. Used a 21kg DB (5kg heavier than last time) and shaved nearly 2 1/2 mins off!

9:34 total.

was trawling through Chets board and came across this, and thought I would give it ago.

Magic 50

22.5Kg DB SNATCHES x 5 per arm
22.5kg DB SWINGS x 5 per arm
Gold standard Burpee x 10

5 rnds for time: 8.22

Wasn't sure what Burpee???? So I put the GS Burpee in just to be on the safe side
I have to say that this little Sneaky Ninja session really chews you up and throws you out the other side........ All praise ROCKET FUEL.... 2 HEAPED Scoops.
"The idiots are self regarding consumer slaves oblivious to the paradox of their uniform individuality. They sculpt their hair to casual perfection, they wear their waistbands below their balls. They babble into hand-held twit machines about that cool e-mail of the woman being bummed by a wolf. Their cool friend made it. He's an idiot too. Welcome to the age of stupidity, hail the rise of the idiots!"

Charlie Brooker & Chris Morris.

"Don't get hung up on the stopwatch or times, or even weight lifted, think about technique, technique, technique and listening to your body. You will not perform better every session and that is set in stone. Test your self every month keep a written journal not just a forum, a place where you can keep personal notes that you can read to motivate yourself. Don't compare yourself to others when you are working out and likewise do not think that you are already fit as fcuk!!! As someone will always be in front and behind you, ultimate confidence in your abilities yes, but arrogance no, there is a fine line.
But most of all do the things you hate above the things you like or are good at, this will make you a better athlete. Save the things you like for recreational sessions. But ultimately enjoy it, even when you hate it! And finally remember the mind will always give in before the body!"

Here endeth the lesson.

Beast! Nice one. You don't even have to do the overhead clap - but you did!

Cheers, kempie

PS I checked out your page - what BMF classes did you used to go to? Was an instructor in Hyde Park and Clapham for their Running Club's

Yes I know! I went to Hyde Park running club a few times and I was there when we went to the pub for your last session I think.

However, I was a regular at the Hampstead BMF class and I tended to do running club up there on a Sunday - hence my sporadic attendance at Hyde Park. There's a pic of me on my website http://www.gubernatrix.co.uk - you may recognise me, you may not. I am not an impressive runner!

Och, not to worry. It was Nat who invited me along.

Good point about the WOD! I have not yet managed to get Crossfit WODs into my regular routine as most of my training is for various sports/events. So far I've only done Crossfit when I've been in London. But I'd like to have more Crossfit days.

If I can't do Crossfit every session, what's the best thing to do - just do the current WOD whenever I've got a free slot? Or pick the workout first and do it on a day that I'm free, e.g. I'm free on Saturday, let's do Fran.

I guess it depends what you are looking at from your crossfit sessions. If it's variety and a bit of sweaty fun then I would just pick ones that you like the look of or that you can do. If you have any other particular goals then feel free to hit me up by PM or email and I'll help you get started.

Cheers, kempie

Magic 50

5 kb 24kg snatches r/l
5 kb 24kg swings r/l
10 burpee

time 8min 47sec

I know I can take a good wee bit off this if I do it fresh as I spent ages looking at the KB
You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

Oh, I did this the other day but with 5 burpees. Only just realised it's a proper actual WO. No idea what my time was. I don't do the pressup bit anyway, so it wouldn't count even if I'd done the 10.
