Somebody talked to me about this place specialized in powerlifting and strongman (and boydybuilding apparently). It looks more functional than the average gym but I haven't tested it yet. Seems they charge £5 for a drop in session. I don't know if they're too CF friendly but maybe is good for some coaching on heavy lifts:

Appart from that I still think you can have a pretty decent session at RGU sport. I'm giving myself a rest to recover from a shoulder injury, so I'm mostly running and not going too much to the gym.

So i'll be attending RGU in September and was scouting about for any CF gyms in Aberdeen and came across this post and all you mad crossfitters (it is awesome!!!). I'm currently training at Clan Crossfit in Glasgow at the mo which is the dog's tits and if anything like it opens in Aberdeen then my prayers will be answered.
I entered the Crossfit Open this year and came 64th in Europe just narrowly missing out on a place to regionals (I was in the Top 60 right up till the last week, devastated). Anyway I sort of entered off the cuff to see how i'd do therefore for the next year i'll be beasting it to make it to the regionals and if there is a God then the Games so i'll need some motivational crossfit animals to push me. I'll check back nearer the time and hopefully a few of us can get together at RGU and beast out a Fran or Cindy.

I reckon Kings Pavilion Gym would be a lot better than the ASV mate...I was doing a bit of cross fit just in a box gym over the summer in Edinburgh and found that you can get buy on very little as long as you have a bit of space and a gym to yourself.
