First ever front somersault today. We used a run up onto spring board onto mat. I was at it 15-20 mins before I landed one onto feet. Well chuffed. Will have to do it again next week now to make sure it wasnt a fluke

i just had an idea, i wonder if you could use a pair of rings to practice the somersault with. not sure how it'd work with the throwing your arms forward bit :S

Not really sure how rings will help. My big problem was the run up and hitting the spring board hard enough and then going into tuck. I kept fluffing take off so didnt get around quick enough. hopefully now I have done one it will click and I will do again next week and we can maybe progress a bit. Would love to do it without the springboard eventually.
