You are invited to the CrossFit Reading & FK.UK Strength and Power Invitational!
This event is inspired by the traditional Strongman competition, and this is reflected in the individual disciplines.
These disciplines will be a test of your raw strength and power - and a LOT of fun. There will be many toys to play with!
Athletes will be split by gender and then into 3 weight classes:
Men: Sub 75kg, 75-90kg, 90kg+
Women: Sub 55kg, 55-65kg, 65kg+
The disciplines are:
Deadlift
Press
Vehicle Pull
Overhead Throw
Heavy Medley
...and a surprise
These may be for reps, load, time or distance!
Here are the details:
Date: Saturday 21st Nov
(Registration cut off: Sunday 8th November)
Time: 1000 weigh-in for 1100 start
Location: Tadley RFC, Red Lane, Aldermaston, Reading, Berkshire, RG7 4PA
Athlete Entry Fee: £6
Get your place reserved soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
To reserve your place, email chet@funckey.co.uk AND mail@crossfitreading.co.uk with your name, sex, and weight in kg.
We will then send you payment details. Once you have paid the entry fee your place will be confirmed.
Look forward to seeing you there!

Step up people. Get on board. Lets get as many competitors as possible from here. We all train for any and every eventuallity. As we finalised the the structure of the events yesterday I think you'll be pleasently surprised by what's in stall and it will definately test all areas of your training. If nothing else it's a chance for us all to get together and have a good days training together and maybe break some PB's.

I'll be driving over from essex (leaving at about 8am - picking up Schwinners - north way round the M25) and driving over to Reading so if anyone needs a lift give me a shout.
