 Thought i'd start this off.

I want a pair of five fingers but how on earth can they justify £100 for something that is meant to be like bare foot? and there is barely anything of them.

Raargh
(probably more gripes to follow later)

save yourselves £80/£100 quid. Run barefoot if that's what you're trying to get as close to as possible.

not sure I could do that on the running routes i use - too much glass and man made debris to step on. Also not sure i could build up to a full marathon on bare feet.

any way - Am i the only B*tcher and moaner? I could B*tch about asterixes I suppose...

i'm hoping to do the manchester 10k barefoot next year, running on smooth tarmac actually feels quite nice. Natural smooth rock is my favourite running surface, especially when it's slightly warm from the sun :D

i usually get blisters on my big toe when i wear my VFF, but that could be from running up and down steep hills

just go for a run round the park, start on grass, then get used to dirt tracks, tarmac and pavement

this is going slightly OT...

*bitches about people who shout "lost your shoes?!" when running barefoot..

+1 for this one...
...and extend the sentiment to pretty much anyone in a car too.
You'd think a 100kg bloke dressed in fluorescent yellow might be a bit noticeable!!

Feckin taxis are bad too, think nothing of swiping right across in front of you to pick up a fare. My pet peeve is when passing lines of traffic in an empty bus lane, some f***ing donkey decides he's not waiting, swerves in front of you without even looking (you can tell when they don't look) and puts on the left indicator in order to make a turn that's about 500m up the road. Range Rovers, E class Mercs and Beemers seem to be the worst for this. The annoying thing is that they have no idea how close they were to nailing someone and have the damn nerve to start screaming if you call them up on it. Obviously the person that shouts loudest wins! It's getting worse at this time of year too. It's sad that you have to anticipate this kind of thing in order not to get hit.

Pedestrians are shocking sometimes too. They're like sheep... crossing in droves in front of you and proceed to take great offence when someone has the audacity to not slow down and use their bloody right of way. The assumption seems to be that if one person crosses then the rest do not need to look. They also seem to have no concept of the notion of filtering.

The problem is though, unless you have it out with every one of these numpties there's no point in being annoyed, it'll achieve nothing. If there are angry words, nobody will get anything out of the confrontation, so it's a no-win situation either way. It's probably best to take it out on the barbells (or the internet :P)...

The internet-forums & all of the above........ Human beings in general
"The idiots are self regarding consumer slaves oblivious to the paradox of their uniform individuality. They sculpt their hair to casual perfection, they wear their waistbands below their balls. They babble into hand-held twit machines about that cool e-mail of the woman being bummed by a wolf. Their cool friend made it. He's an idiot too. Welcome to the age of stupidity, hail the rise of the idiots!"

Charlie Brooker & Chris Morris.

"Don't get hung up on the stopwatch or times, or even weight lifted, think about technique, technique, technique and listening to your body. You will not perform better every session and that is set in stone. Test your self every month keep a written journal not just a forum, a place where you can keep personal notes that you can read to motivate yourself. Don't compare yourself to others when you are working out and likewise do not think that you are already fit as fcuk!!! As someone will always be in front and behind you, ultimate confidence in your abilities yes, but arrogance no, there is a fine line.
But most of all do the things you hate above the things you like or are good at, this will make you a better athlete. Save the things you like for recreational sessions. But ultimately enjoy it, even when you hate it! And finally remember the mind will always give in before the body!"

Here endeth the lesson.

I second this
I would also like point out people who walk across the javelin field to get to the other side of the track even though throwers are still training, you deserve to be speared!
