I'm going to run with Starting Strength again. Due to a few reasons I'm going to use dumbbells for the bench press, but wondered if anyone had any ideas on how I can microload the wee 'bells. They go up in 2kg increments - e.g. 20s, 22s, 24s, so i'd be going up in 4kg increments in total for each bench - a little too much really.

They are rubber Hammer Strength dumbbells - would magnets or chains or anything like that work? Has anyone any nuggets of wisdom to share? :)

I've used masking tape (about 2 inch wide) and taped small discs to the side of dumbell before, used a simple X structure. Its OK for alot of basic strength moves. But not Kettle bell swings and fast moving exercises.

I've used ankle/wrist wrap-around weights for this purpose in the past.

And no I don't own any, they were in a box of accessories in the globo where I was using the DBs

Thanks for the tips fellas - I'm off to B&Q later to see if I can procure some small weights fix onto them.
