Hi to you all

my name is Kevin Burgess and with my business patner Chris Williamson we run Revolution Fitness in Great Yarmouth.

We are currently preparing a large additional area next to the gym that we will be able to do tyre flips and resistance harness running . weighted sled drags, sandbag carries and other mean exercises.

Can anyone tell me what the process is to affiliate to crossfit. Also as I am new to this type of training "what is a pood"? when refering to kettlebells.

I still compete in Masters athletics and am trying to get back my full fitness after 3 years of (old age realted) injuries.

7 years ago when I was in my prime at the age of 45 I broke the European 60metre sprint record for that age. It still stands at 7.18 secs. So I am used to training and competing at a high level. But any help in this area will be very usefull

Hope to get to know you through this forum and any help or advice will be appreciated.

regards

Kevin

What he said ;) Also, reach out to Andy Craig (CF Reading), Miles Key (CF West Sussex) and Ben Walker (CF Tyneside), all members here and all good guys. I am sure each can bring you some valuable insight into the whole process and warn you of any potential pitfalls to avoid.

Welcome to FK.UK, looking forward to hearing some of your thoughts and opinions on training.

welcome Kevin!
You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

Welcome to the community Kevin.

Affiliating to Crossfit could be a good step but there are lots of people going it alone as well :)

Welcome,
as Andy said- feel free to contact me. Also worth sending Mark Cooper a shout on here "The Box" about running a successful independent rather than an affiliate.
