As one of our gyms is moving on the camp to a new refurbished location with new eqpt they are getting rid of some stuff. Managed to get hold of an olympic bar (45lb), spring collars and 2 x 25 kg rubber edged plates. All for 60 Euros.

The bar is a few years old but rotates smoothly and has good knurled grip on it.

Now I have:

155 lb Olympic set (total with bar)
1 pood kettlebell
20 lb D-ball (for slamming and wall balls)
20 lb Weighted MIR vest
set of elite gymnastic rings
weighlifting shoes (Do-Win)
speed rope

Just need power rack with pullup bar and more bumper plates me thinks and then ready for a garage gym... :)

Man, that is a good deal. Nice one.

Nice. Don't bother with a power rack, just get a good set of squat stands and a wall mounted (or trapeze) pull-up bar and you are set.

I'll have a look around, cheers for the advice.

managed to get some more weight yesterday: (all plates were hex shaped rubber discs)

2 x 45 lbs (brand new)
2 x 35 lbs (brand new)
2 x 25 lbs
4 x 10 lbs
2 x 5 lbs

all for 50 Euros

counted total weight now (including the 45lb bar and the 2 x 25 Kg plates from a few days ago) of 420 lbs

This weight will more than last me a good while, can only deadlift a max of 350 lb x 1 rep anyway.

squat rack here i come :)
