Not a UK event, but don't know which area to post this in.

But there is a half marathon on SHAPE (Belgium) this Saturday ran by the gym staff and over 300 people are taking part. My Crossfit buddy and I are taking part. (I'll try and get some pictures posted of it next week)

Not really done any specific long distance training for it, mostly relying on the Crossfit ethic of be prepared for anything :blink:

Let you all know how we get on post race. Last year trained quite hard for it (before i took up crossfit) and finished in 1:26.

Hoping for around 1:45 this time

Good luck with it. If Greg Amundson can almost get his 100 miles in 2 days on 2 miles training you should be good to go.

Then again, Amundson is a freak of nature....... ;)

there's been a fair bit of running in the past couple of months of CF WODs, I think you should be ok. Keep your expectations high!

Just done the SHAPE half marathon

time: 1 hr 41 mins, my training buddy got 1 hr 57 mins

slower than last year but not bad with no distance training.

Good old crossfit got me through :rolleyes:

legs dying now though

Hope tomorrows WOD is not a run..because you know what you can do with that !!!!!

Will post some photos on my profile later today. Off for a radox bath :)
