Looking for thoughts on the V-Fit AR2 Super Air Rower (WFS). Amazon has this on sale right now and I was pondering getting one. I know it's not a concept 2, but neither is the price.

Has anyone used this machine before, or has any other machines they can recommend?

I know CrossFit (there, I said it :P) advocates use of the C2 but that is so workouts are standardised across the board and relevant for the "observable, measurable, repeatable" aspect of the WODS. It's only going to be me (and maybe the wife) using it in the near term so I am not overly bothered by that as long as my workouts are consistent throughout so are there any other reasons why I shouldn't pull the trigger and get this for my garage gym?

Thoughts and opinions are welcomed and appreciated.

reviews seem ok, I guess you could partially cover the fan, to adjust the damper if need be.

footplates seem to be angled a little low, but looks ok

worst case you could return it claiming it was faulty...

I bought a V-fit Innsbruck last September, which is slightly cheaper.
Obviously it doesn't have the build quality or the computer of the CII, but, like you, I was after something that did the job for me and was consistent, and it's done that.
I say go for it.

if it helps i got my used c2 for £220 - if you have the time to shop around i would expect there to be at least that good a deal to be had.
