Hi

I wached and rad some crossfit journal on Squats. I have to say that I did it all wrong. Well, not all,but you know.
Arching my back to much, not keeping belly tight,etc.....
Those videos from CFJ helps a lot.....

Now I can improve my PB ... wich was 135KG i believe.......oooo good times.....

just thinking about it. When I did some cert in London with Andrew,he told us to sick our asses out,so we felt little uncomfort in a lower back, chest out a do the squat. So we did.

But on the video from CFJ,they say keep the neutral spine, torso tight,etc.....im bit confused, who is right.
Anyway,I;ll practice, try the way coach Rip teaches it....

try front squats, it's harder to go wrong with your squats with these

also try some squat therapy, try squatting with your nose and toes almost against the wall (air squats!)

I did those.I m fine with.I mean I keep my chest out,I can hold my arms over the bar if so. But I have lower cross syndrome,i think it is called. Well it is easy for my arche my lower back. But I always thought that that is what you supposed to do. Reading and watching CFJ suggest something different.

I guess I ask coach from crystal palace to check it,or explained to me...

tbh I don't think it's really possible to hyperextend your back excessively when doing squats.

i thiink your talking about your pelvis tilting, and placing your spine in a vunerable position. how ever in most people your hamstrings will pull your hips back around again as you descend (unless you are extremely flexible)

your abs and back should be contracted when you squat, which helps maintains a neutral spine.
