Hi Guys,
I've just had a carpenter knock up four plyo boxes for me, an 18", 21", 24", & 30"!( this ones a bit of a shin scraper sometimes) and I want to paint them black. The problem is I can envisage the boxes looking a bit tatty very quickly if I choose the wrong type of paint etc. I have been told to prime the boxes. Has anyone got any suggestions or has anyone had the same issue and found the solution?

Depends what finish you want. Blakboard Paint is resilient but matt finish. Option with other colours to mix paint with adhesive rather then priming. (Asked an Art teacher about this)

PS If you don't mind- how much did you pay for the set. I got a 1"ply 20"box knocked up up here and got 60sheets lighter for my trouble- just wondering if I got bummed?

No mate you didn't get done. Mine were £90 each. I understand why they were expensive cos mine were very well made and apparently took a while to knock up (due to all the sanding down etc.). Those metal ones cost a bomb so take into account that you northeners have a lower standard of living (hehe) I'd say you did pretty well. :P Thanks for the advice bud. How's that swim down the Tyne coming along? Got the jabs for it yet? I'm doing the swim tomorrow morning.

"The idiots are self regarding consumer slaves oblivious to the paradox of their uniform individuality. They sculpt their hair to casual perfection, they wear their waistbands below their balls. They babble into hand-held twit machines about that cool e-mail of the woman being bummed by a wolf. Their cool friend made it. He's an idiot too. Welcome to the age of stupidity, hail the rise of the idiots!"

Charlie Brooker & Chris Morris.

"Don't get hung up on the stopwatch or times, or even weight lifted, think about technique, technique, technique and listening to your body. You will not perform better every session and that is set in stone. Test your self every month keep a written journal not just a forum, a place where you can keep personal notes that you can read to motivate yourself. Don't compare yourself to others when you are working out and likewise do not think that you are already fit as fcuk!!! As someone will always be in front and behind you, ultimate confidence in your abilities yes, but arrogance no, there is a fine line.
But most of all do the things you hate above the things you like or are good at, this will make you a better athlete. Save the things you like for recreational sessions. But ultimately enjoy it, even when you hate it! And finally remember the mind will always give in before the body!"

Here endeth the lesson.

You are a MAN... take that Zone diet and throw it back at Sears and tell him "f*** you, I'm eating food without counting it". Embrace the 200+ pound range, bro, hug it...

Im on the rock n roll at the moment, but ive worked out I can make an adjustable set for about £75 by getting the parts from HERE when funding is permitted! I just need some plywoord or chipboard to use as the top then.

Yours,
Beev
